Story Telling through Art
Everyone likes a good story. We’ve got hundreds to share with you. Brian Andreas, nationally known for his Story People, keeps us fully stocked with matted prints, hand-made folk art sculpture from recycled barn wood, greeting cards, and books.
Equally entertaining, are the works of Susan Mrosek. Her bizarre thoughts and stories are both humorous and insightful. Her printed images from her oil paintings are derived from the erratic side of life. Following a lengthy career painting realistic portraits, she unexpectedly began to write, and decided to illustrate her stories in this most unconventional way. Fairy Friends comes our way from the studio of Carol Clark, in Columbus, Ohio. She makes each fairy by hand, and you choose a card to accompany your fairy, so as to give her a direction. For instance you can give a “Get Well Soon” Fairy. We have a small collection of Oaxacan Woodcarvings. Each carving is artist-signed, and is hand selected by one of our buyers while traveling in Mexico. Manuel Jimenez originally created these carvings as children’s toys. They are hand-carved from copal wood, and embellished with paints and dyes. Brands
